Tara and I just got back from a cooking class. It was at the Kitchen Conservatory in Clayton. It was FONDUE for COUPLES. It was a basic class teaching how to make a cheese, seafood, and chocolate fondue. We also learned to make several dipping sauces.

Web Work

I am working on adding a Bulletin Board System to the website. I hope it will encourage more communication. A BBS is a better way to enable others to join in and add input.

Basher Bill

Bill, Joice, and Brave Asher came over of dinner and a visit today. We had lots of fun. We talked until the wee hours and Brave was wonderful. Bill and I talked about how to improve the 2 Rivers Church web site. I hope to live up to Bill expectations. He is a really good web designer. I am going to help him out on the web site.

Bill also showed me a cool Instant Messenger program, Trillian. It allows you to enter all the IMs into a single program. That way you can stay in contact with anyone no matter what IM they use on one single program. You can upgrade the free version with cool add-ons. I like the POP-3 mail check add-on.
Baby Brave and Father Bill

We when to HomeTeam at the Ross’s home tonight. Had lasagna, salad, and garlic bread for dinner. The food was great as usual.

This week we started chapter 2 of the book. It was about God’s attributes. We covered his natural attributes. God is transcendent (excels above all), immanent (near), omnipotent (all-powerful), omnipresent (in all places all the time), omniscient (knows everything), eternal (timeless), infinite (unlimited), and unchanging. We also covered God’s moral attributes. For example, God is holy, loving, and just to only name a few.

We finished by covering that God is triune. In other words, we went over the Trinity. God is one being, but He exists in three persons. This can be confusing when examined cursorily, but it is essential to fully appreciate. It is important to comprehend that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit have have existed from the founding of the world. God the Father, the fount of Deity, originates, Jesus, the Son, eternally begotten of the Father, reveals, and the Holy Spirit, eternally proceeding from the Father and Son, executes.

If I have failed to communicated these topics, please pick of copy of Paul Little’s book Know What you Believe, or better yet pick up the Bible and examine the issues. That is the cool thing about the Bible it will never lead you wrong, as long as you are earnest in your studies.

MultiMedia Man

Dave Powell, Sherri and I tried to figure out how to liven up the Sunday school time for the kids at 2 Rivers Church. The time is called Kid Zone. It is pretty cool. There are songs, skits, multimedia, Bible verses, and much more. Dave and I have to find cool sounds to help with the skits and transitions between sections. It was lots of fun. We found tons of interesting sounds, now we have to set the up for use during Kid Zone.

Super Bowl Sunday

For those of you that know me, you know that I have little interest in watching sporting events. On the other hand, I do enjoy watching the Super Bowl commercials. It amazes me how much money the corporate world spends on trying to control what we associate pleasure with or why we should buy their stuff to avoid pain. In other words, buy this product so your life will be much better, or if you don’t buy this product your life will be miserable.

We are going over the Scott and Shannon’s home for a Super Bowl party after church. A few of us are bringing the X-Box and I have the crossover cable. Should be tons of fun. Tara cooked some white chili and I am going to make some guacamole.

Weekend work

Spent much of the day cleaning up the basement storeroom. I will post a picture in a week or two when it is all done. I need to wire a few more electrical outlets and add a circuit breaker to the fuse box. Finished cutting the trim for around the front hallway.

After dinner, decided to finally remove the old Web Enabling Team files from my main page and redo it to something a little more personal. (You know a picture of my head going around in a circle with my tongue out). How much more personal can one get. he he he.

Had an exciting night out again. We went to Annie Gun’s with Scott and Shannon. Chef Lou Rook rocks. Shannon, Tara, and I decided to go for a variety of delights and share so we all could educate our pallets. I order the 10 ounce fillet, what Annie Gunn’s is know for, Tara order Duck, and Shannon ordered pork loin. Scott wanted to stick with a sure bet and ordered a 10 ounce fillet also, but he did not want to experiment with us. Over all we decided that Shannon’s choice of pork loin was the best over all meal, but each was excellent.
After dinner, we took Scott and Shannon to Tara’s work, Arhaus Furniture located in Brentwood Square.
We returned to our house to watch The Usual Suspects.

Bought a previously view DVD at Hollywood Video. It is the most expensive DVD in my collection. Here take a look.

Actually it was 15 dollars. I still have not watched it, because I don’t want to open it and loose the sticker.

David’s Birthday

It is David’s Birthday today. Tara and I called him to wish him a happy birthday. Here is a picture from his last B-Day at our old house.

More Snow

It snowed today. It is the fourth snow. They actually had the city snowplows out and working. Tara and I cooked up some nachos and watched A Beautiful Mind by the fire. That sure beats shoveling the driveway.
Char and Gene came over before HomeTeam and we had fun talking for a while. Char and Tara prepared a Waldorf salad and Gene and I played Halo on the X-Box. We all were a little late to the HomeTeam. Debbie made an awesome chicken dumpling main course. We are going through Peter Little’s Know What you Believe book. We cover the first chapter on the Bible being the inspired and infallible word of God.

Worked the morning at EDS, but then took off a little early to go rewire the church office. They have a netgear ISDN router and a netgear wireless router. I hard wired a hub into the wireless router.
That evening the women’s ministry had an event called pamper me night. There were lots of fun things for them to do. They had hairstylists, masseuses, makeup artists and the like. Tara had lots of fun.

Network: I could not figure out which router was serving as the DHCP server. So I will go back and make sure I have all the correct settings and ISP contacts before I reset both. Then I will be able to document the network and leave the documentation at the office.

River’s Edge: I had fun helping setup and then serving appetizers and soda. It inspired me to work harder to get the men’s ministry going.

Sunday

Heard a good message on servant hood at 2 Rivers today. About how we should allow God to grab hold of us and heal our hurt. It was an example of how Christ put others first and how we should do the same.
Had a good time at HomeTeam tonight. Char and Gene, Chris and Melody, Adrian and(Stephanie had to work), Chris and Donna, Scott and Shannon, and Tara and I were all there. That makes a total of three Chris. We finished the first Chapter in the Fellowship book. We also were formed prayer and accountability partners. I got Chris Harris and Tara got Stephanie Goh. The next meeting will be over Superbowl, so we will just be hanging out to have some fun.
